This week I continued reading the The Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. The chapters I read this week talked about geniuses. It analyzed one specific man, whose name is Christopher Langan. Chris is an extraordinary man, he has an IQ of close to 195. This classifies him as over the level it takes to be a genius. The book talks about how after a specific number of IQ, it stops mattering what your IQ is. If there is a person with an IQ of 120 and another with an IQ of 150, theoretically there shouldn't be any variation of what they can and cannot do. Outliers is a very interesting book because it can help you figure out what you need to do to theoretically become successful. It can also look a little differently at your life and what you can do to change it.
Alex, great post, this book seems very interesting. 195 is a really high IQ, and I'm sure that man will become successful. If you add a quote to support your summary, I feel like it would make the post even better though. Good job
ReplyDeleteI wonder how having such a high IQ would affect the way you see the world. Would you still be the same or would your thought process change to the point you act differently?
